Question: When using the Internet travel sites do I get better rates? Answer: When using the Airlines sites you are
limiting yourself from other carrier price options. When using the
sites that search all airlines you are getting the best options.
However, often times the inventory on seats and availability is limited.
So pricing will vary every time it's searched. Live Agents can find
and hold that inventory which the computer often times can't find.
It is ok to search for possibilities but leaving it up to an Agent
is usually your best option to make sure you're getting the lowest
rate. Answer: Every agency has a set way of charging
service fees. All sites and even the airlines now charge service
fees. The only time you are not is if you go to the Airlines sites
directly. Our agency maintains, since the inception of the commission
cap, the internet service fee on all tickets. These range from $5
to $10 per ticket. International tickets may be different depending
upon the shopping technique. Answer: We can't speak for other agencies on
whether they charge fees on these services. However, we do not charge
service fees on anything but airline tickets at a $5-$10 charge. |
